As the days count down to the long-awaited general elections, the ACCORD governorship candidate for the race to Lion House, Abia State seat of authority, Bishop Dr. Emeka Michael Nwankpa, has charged the Abia electorates to use the opportunity presented by the 2023 election to take back their destiny at the polls to create room for a better future, even for the generations unborn.
He has continuously made this call on different Radio programs in Abia State. According to the renowned preacher, a lot has gone wrong in Abia State due to a lack of prudent leadership and coordinated development plans that can turn around the fortunes of the state, simply because a few men feel entitled to the power of control of the state, thereby choosing who must be in charge, no matter how incompetent. He insisted that the trend must change to a situation where the people must be the ones to choose their leaders to decide their future.

“When we keep quiet and believe what happens around us is not our business because we are comfortable, it doesn’t make the trouble created by the bad leaders any way easier. Rather, when they create these problems out of incompetence, they leave it for everyone to solve, especially when you have a human heart, that is why I have come up with a plan to curb the decay from the roots. We need to make the state productive and progressive for its citizens. Workers need to be paid, students need to be in school, and the artisans that lubricate the oil of the SME which in turn strengthen the fabric of the economy of the state need to be harnessed for growth.
“For a people that has suffered retrogression for almost 2 decades, it is logical and germane that Abia electorates grab the opportunity of 2023 to rewrite their history by making the right decision to move forward by casting their vote for me because I am different. I am not a career politician, I am a preacher of the word of God with a passion for a better Abia State, I am in the race to do it myself because a lot of time has been wasted, I have offered myself to get Abia working again, I encourage our people to vote me for a better Abia”, he said.
Meanwhile, the foremost contender for the number one citizen of Abia State had scheduled a day for the ASSURED campaign flag off where he intended to lay bare his lofty plan for God’s Own State.
