The European Union has expanded sanctions against Belarus and imposed a ban on the export of goods and technologies to the country that contribute to its military and technological improvement, according to a statement published on Thursday on the website of the European Commission.
“The measures extend the ban on exports to Belarus to a number of highly sensitive goods and technologies that contribute to the military and technological strengthening of Belarus,” the document says.

In addition, the EU has imposed a ban on the export of weapons and ammunition to Belarus, as well as goods for use in the field of aviation and space.
