October 7, 2018 marks the deadline for the conclusion of all primary elections in the various political parties, and the submission of names of presidential candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). This is in preparation of the 2019 general election coming up in Nigeria on February next year.

You should recall and also take note that the Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, made it known that the 2019 general elections will not be shifted from the set date.
