The people of Ikwuano have declared their total support for their son, Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District, as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.

At a well-attended meeting in the area, members of the various clans took turns to reaffirm their solidarity and pledge unwavering support for Atuma’s aspiration. The gathering was marked by cheers, applause, and expressions of confidence that the former lawmaker would represent the zone effectively if elected.
According to the stakeholders, the endorsement was based on trust, shared identity, and the belief that Atuma possesses the political experience and leadership qualities needed to advance the interests of Abia Central. They described him as a son of the soil whose ambition deserves the full backing of the people.
In their separate remarks,the APC candidate for Ikwuano constituency, Hon. Ugwumba Chika ; the APC Chairman of Ikwuano Local Government Area, Hon. Chinedum Adindu; the APC Campaign Director-General for Ikwuano Local Government, Prof. Chiedozie Atuonwu; Oboro Clan spokesperson, Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Orji; and other clan representatives emphasized unity and mobilization. They stressed that every ward and village in Ikwuano would work together to ensure a strong showing for all APC candidates in 2027.
They called on supporters to remain committed to the cause and to spread the message of collective support across the district.
Responding, Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma made a passionate appeal to the people of Ikwuano not to repeat what he described as the mistakes of the past by failing to support the APC, which he described as the ruling party. He assured the people of holistic development if elected.
Rt.Hon.Atuma also expressed gratitude for the overwhelming show of love and confidence reposed on him , promising to remain committed to inclusive representation, grassroots engagement, and policies that would bring development to Abia Central if given the mandate
The event attracted the presence of prominent personalities across the local government, including members of the party, community leaders, and supporters.
