It was victory songs as Osisioma Ngwa and Isiala Ngwa North stood still for Bishop Emeka Nwankpa, the Accord Party candidate in the March 11 governorship election.
The revered cleric and philanthropist was earlier received by HRM Eze C. I. Uche who gave his royal blessings to the governorship ambition of Bishop Emeka Nwankpa in his palace at Nbawsi, before the campaign trail proceeded to the country home of Sir Fidelis Chikezie Nwachukwu.
Addressing a sea of heads who trooped out to welcome him, Bishop Emeka Nwankpa promised to build a new Abia that would work for all. He decried the poor state of things in Abia and promised to adopt policies that would engender unprecedented growth of the state. In their separate speeches, the duo of Sir Fidelis Chikezie Nwachukwu and HRM Eze C. I. Uche described Bishop Emeka Nwankpa as the man who has the potential to build a new Abia as Governor.
At Osisioma, the campaign team of Bishop Emeka Nwankpa was received with a rousing ovation by a tumultuous crowd who declared their total support to the emergence of Bishop Emeka Nwankpa as Governor.
Speaker after speaker eulogized Bishop Emeka Nwankpa’s great humanitarian strides and sterling leadership qualities which they believe will be brought to bear in Abia State. .
