The Abia Online Media Publishers, the Umbrella body for all Online Media Practitioners in Abia State has approved the nomination of Dr. Mrs Ngozi Ogbonna-Erondu as Abia Diaspora Personality of The Year.
According to the group, the Award is in recognition of her undaunted efforts towards the development of Abia State while living abroad.
She has continued to use her wealth of experience, international contacts and links to attract developmental programs, health projects and facilities, renovation of schools etc.
While most diasporan Abians embraced criticism, she joined forces with the state Government to ensure that everything that is due to the state, from donor agencies and international organizations get to Abia.
The Award will be presented to the her alongside other Awardees at the Michael Okpara Auditorium on the 19th of Nov. 2021 as part of the activities marking the groups 4-Day Annual General Meeting/Bloggers Week.
According to the planning committee, the 4-Day Bloggers week will commence on Tuesday 16th with the arrival of visiting Bloggers from across the country, a Training Session(17th Nov), a Tour of the Governor’s projects(18th), a media Interactive with the Governor, and the AGM/Awards (19th Nov).
