Nigeria’s Odion Ighalo and Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis will be meeting in the UEFA Europa league round of 16 clash as Manchester United travels to play Club Brugge in Belgium.
The duo have never played together for the Super Eagles but Nigerians will be delighted to see the two players who began their career from the slums of Ajegunle in Lagos play in the prestigious Europa League against each other.
Bonaventure, an integral part of Club Brugge’s attacking setup caught the eye of Super Eagles gaffer Gernot Rohr in September 2019 and made his debut in a friendly against Ukraine that same month.
Meanwhile, Ighalo called time on his National team career in 2019 after helping Nigeria win Bronze at the African Cup of Nations in Egypt where he finished as the highest goal scorer.
The two will be facing each other at club levels for the first time.
