Leadership is not only about speaking in the Assembly. Sometimes, it means showing up where people live, listening to their concerns and having direct conversations about what can be done better.
Yesterday, the Member Representing Umuahia Central State Constituency, Hon. Chinasa Anthony (Abiola), alongside his delegation, met with stakeholders of the Federal Low-Cost Housing Estate Landlords Association hosted at the residence of Mr. Chike Michael.
The engagement provided an opportunity for residents and property owners to discuss issues affecting the estate, particularly around infrastructure, security, environmental concerns and other community needs.
More importantly, it was a chance for both sides to exchange ideas on how government and community leadership can work together to address these challenges.
For Hon. Chinasa Anthony, engagements like this bring representation closer to the people. For the landlords and residents, it creates a direct channel to raise concerns, share expectations and participate in conversations about the future of their community.
The politics may continue, but beyond politics are real people, real neighbourhoods and everyday issues that require attention.
