The Federal Ministry of Health in Nigeria has just announced five new cases of Coronavirus infection, which now brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to eight. According to the statement, all the five new cases have a travel history to the United States of America, and the United Kingdom.
Below is the statement made by the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on their Twitter page.
“A detailed travel history of each case is being compiled and contact tracing has begun Our National Emergency Operations Centre is supporting response in the states The Federal Government through the Ministry of Health is conducting risk assessment to initiate other relevant measures”.
