Reports just reaching Nigerian Fact at the moment confirm that the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi has just been dethroned by the government of Labor state. It also stated that his replacement will be announced soon.
According to the report Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi II was dethroned as a result of his disrespect to the government of Kano state and also to other agencies found in the state. The secretary to the state government, Usman Alhaji, reported that his removal was with immediate effect and a replacement will be announced sooner or later.
You could remeber that Muhammadu Sanusi II (Sanusi Lamido Sanusi) ascended the throne in 2014 after the death of his uncle, Ade Bayero. His grand father was Muhammadu Sanusi I who reigned as the Emir of Kano from 1953 to 1963. Prior to this, he was an economist and banker and have attained the position of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria from 2019 to 2014.
