WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY: CELEBRATING THE BUILDERS OF OUR FUTURE
On this World Teachers’ Day, I join people across the world in celebrating our teachers, the dedicated men and women whose knowledge, patience, sacrifice, and commitment continue to shape individuals, families, communities, and nations.

Teachers do far more than impart academic knowledge. They inspire dreams, nurture character, develop talents, and equip young people with the values and skills needed to contribute meaningfully to society. Every doctor, engineer, lawyer, entrepreneur, public servant, and leader has, at some point, been guided by a teacher.
As a former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly and a candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South Federal Constituency, I recognise the indispensable role teachers play in building a prosperous and educated society.
I therefore commend our teachers for their resilience and service, often under challenging circumstances. Your work may not always receive the recognition it deserves, but its impact reaches generations.
As we celebrate you today, let us also renew our commitment to improving the teaching profession, supporting our educators, providing conducive learning environments, and ensuring that teachers are adequately valued for the enormous responsibility entrusted to them.
To every teacher who has stayed committed to educating and inspiring our children: thank you for building the future, one learner at a time.
Happy World Teachers’ Day🎓
Rt Hon Chinedum E. Orji, FNSE, FNICE, FNITHE
Former Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly
APC Candidate, Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency.
