The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has made it clear that 185,000 applicants in Nigeria will benefit from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Agri-Business Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Scheme (AGSMEIS) loans in all parts of the country. The NDE Director General, Dr. Nasiru Ladan-Argungu, made this information known at the orientation of 450 trainees of four schemes of the agency in Nasarawa state on Wednesday.
Dr. Ladan-Argungu listed the schemes as National Open Apprenticeship Scheme (B-NOAS), Advanced National Open Apprenticeship Scheme (A-NOAS), Sustainable Agricultural Development Scheme (SADTS) and Environmental Beautification Training Scheme (EBTS).

The NDE Director General, represented by the Nasarawa State Coordinator of the scheme, Alhaji Dauda Idris, urged the youths in the state to make use of the opportunity at their disposal to help their families and the society at large.
He said the beneficiaries of CBN AGSMEIS were young artisans expected to be the next generational fashion designers, cosmetology products producers , farmers, electricians, computer operators, and so on.
Ladan-Argungu said, and i quote
They will through multiplier effect create several thousand other jobs to enhance the nation’s economy.
Earlier, the Head of Department, Vocational Skills Development in Nasarawa State, Mr. Rotgak Goar, said the schemes would transform the lives of the trainees.
Responding on behalf of her colleagues, Ms. Fatima Gambo, a beneficiary, thanked NDE for the gesture and promised that they would be good ambassadors of the CBN AGSMEIS.
