The Abia Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN) has appealed to Abians and residents of the state to obtain their Permanent Voters Card in order to elect credible candidates in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

Abia OMPAN appeals to residents of the State to get their PVC in preparation for 2023 general election

The Association made the appeal on Sunday in a press statement issued to newsmen in Umuahia by its Chairman, Chief Paddy Anyatonwu. He said voting for credible candidates would ensure that the dreams and aspirations of Abians will be attained, stressing that the process can only be done by those with PVC. He also highlights the need for Abians to go all out and get their PVC.

The Association noted that it was necessary for all Abians, who had exhibited voter apathy in the past, to take advantage of the forthcoming general elections and vote for credible leaders to change their narratives, reminding them that they cannot sit on the fence and expect that needed change.

The statement reads in part
“Everyone who is 18 and above should get their PVCs because it is very important in shaping our future and those of our children. The forthcoming elections give us the right to exercise our powers as citizens”.
