The gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abia state, Bishop Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, has stressed on the need for a servant of God to sit on the helm of affairs in the state come 2023. He made this known while speaking with newsmen in Umuahia on Monday, 20th June 2022.

He explained that during the democratic dispensation, Abia state has been governed by a businessman (Orji Uzor Kalu), a technocrat (T.A. Orji), and an academician (Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu). So, it is time for a servant of God to become the governor of Abia State.

Bishop Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha stressed that is time for Abia State to be governed by a servant of God

“Abia is God’s Own State, so let us handover God’s Own State to God’s own servant. Unless clergy men are involved in politics, very soon, we will be ruled by charlatans”.

The Methodist Bishop also explained that he is not speaking as someone who has not been doing anything before now, that is deeds in Abia state are already obvious.

The Okai-Item son in Bende LGA, also stated that opportunities are waiting to come into Abia, but all that is needed is transparency and even distribution of good governance, which only a servant of God like himself can deliver.
