“My Ambition Is Driven By Ideas & Accountability” – Rt Hon Chinedum Orji Says As Women of Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency Troop Out To Endorse Him
Women from across the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency trooped out in their numbers to express their solidarity and endorse the candidacy of Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji as their sole candidate for the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency seat.
The gathering witnessed an impressive turnout of women from different communities in Ikwuano/Umuahia, who came together in a show of unity, confidence, and support for the former Speaker and political leader.
In his speech, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji expressed gratitude to the women of his constituency for their support over the years, he explained that his ambition was driven by the desire to secure a platform through which he could effectively represent the constituency at the federal level and attract meaningful development and growth to the area.
He said his campaign would focus on ideas, accountability and his record of service, rather than personal attacks or political propaganda, he also promised to lobby for the inclusion of projects benefitting Ikwuano/Umuahia in the national budget, bring massive infrastructural development and empower the people of the area in different vocational skills.
The leader of the women and former Abia State Head of Service, Lady Joy Maduka described Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji as a candidate they believe possesses the experience, capacity, and understanding required to effectively represent the interests of the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency.
In a particularly memorable moment, the women joined the candidate in singing a Christian song, creating an atmosphere of joy, faith, and togetherness. The spontaneous display underscored the strong bond and goodwill shared between Rt Hon Chinedum Orji and his supporters.
In their separate speeches, the representatives of the women from Ikwuano, Umuahia North and South Local Government Areas, reaffirmed their collective decision to stand firmly behind Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, describing their endorsement as a reflection of their confidence in his leadership and commitment to the constituency.
The massive turnout sent a strong message of grassroots support, with the women declaring their readiness to mobilise and work collectively toward the success of Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji.
The event ended on a high note, with the women reaffirming their position by presenting a plaque of award to Rt Hon Orji.
