TWO TRAILERS OF RICE AND 121 PROJECTS – WHAT IKWUANO/UMUAHIA PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY ASKING
By MANDATE 27 GROUP
INTRODUCTION: FROM RICE TO RUINS
Nobody started insulting anybody. The genesis was simple: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved palliative rice to cushion subsidy removal. Each House of Representatives Member got two trailer loads to distribute in his constituency. Constituents of Ikwuano/Umuahia asked a legitimate question: where is our own two trailers? That question turned into a Facebook video where His Excellency Distinguished Senator Theodore Ahamefula Orji was called a thief and Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji was called offspring of a thief. Now the same person is shouting cyberbullying and cyberstalking. You cannot call people thieves and then cry bullying when people ask you for rice.

THE TWO TRAILERS OF RICE: PUBLIC RECORD
In 2024, Federal Government through Ministry of Agriculture provided food palliatives to all 360 House members for their constituencies. It was not secret. House leadership confirmed distribution. Each Rep got 2 trailers – approximately 1,200 to 2,400 bags of 25kg rice depending on trailer size. The directive was clear: distribute to vulnerable in your federal constituency, with ward lists. In Ikwuano/Umuahia, people are still asking: show us ward-by-ward list, show us photos, show us beneficiaries in Afugiri, in Olokoro, in Ibeku, in Ohuhu. If you distributed, publish the list. That is not bullying, that is accountability.
THE GUARDIAN’S N40.89 BILLION QUESTION
On June 23, 2026, The Guardian reported N40.89 billion was appropriated for 121 projects in Ikwuano/Umuahia from 2024-2026. Among them, N450 million for reconstruction of Primary Health Centres including Afugiri Health Centre at Umuakam which today is in ruins. That report is verifiable on http://govspend.ng and BudgIT Tracka. Five-a-side stadium is good, but it is one out of 121. Where are the other 120? If you can deliver a masterpiece stadium, why is Afugiri health centre bushy? Why is Nkwoegwu road where trailers crash daily, metres from your house, still a death trap?
PERFORMANCE IN THE HOUSE: MOTIONS ARE NOT PROJECTS
Aguocha’s supporters brag about 25 bills. Check National Assembly records: many bills are at first reading stage. Bills are not law until passed and assented. What Ikwuano/Umuahia needs now is not 25 English titles in Abuja, but functional health centre in Afugiri, classroom block in Ikwuano, and transparent rice sharing. Representation is oversight. Did you write to the MDA handling N450m health project to query non-execution? Did you visit Afugiri site with Tracka team? Oversight is your constitutional duty under Section 88.
CYBERBULLYING VS LEGITIMATE QUESTIONING
Under Cybercrimes Act 2015 as amended, cyberstalking is sending threatening, false messages to cause fear. Asking “Honourable, where is our two trailers of rice?” and “Honourable, where is N450m Afugiri health centre?” is not cyberstalking. It is freedom of expression under Section 39 of Constitution. Calling a former Governor a thief and his son offspring of a thief in a Facebook video, however, is defamation per se and could be cyberbullying if false. If you dish it, you should be ready to take legitimate accountability questions without shouting bully.
DECORUM OF A LEGISLATOR
A legislator, whether Federal or State, is supposed to be distinguished in speech and conduct. The continuous insults hurled at His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Theodore Ahamefula Orji, a man who was Governor for 8 years and Senator for 8 years, a man old enough to be his father, speaks volumes of sense of decorum. It shows rascality and irresponsibility that is unbecoming of a man carrying the mandate of Ikwuano/Umuahia. You cannot stand on the floor of the Green Chamber and call yourself Honourable, then come to Facebook to call an elder a thief without proof. Honour is not in title, it is in tongue.
THE SANDS OF JUDGMENT
Tell Aguocha to be mindful that he stands on the sands of judgment, and even the land is recording. Every word spoken against an elder who has served this State is recorded by Ala. In Igbo land, we do not play with elders. You can fight a man of your age, you can contest politics with your mate, but when you start insulting a man who has seen 75 years, you have crossed the line of politics into taboo.
IGBO COSMOLOGY AND THE AGED
According to Igbo cosmology and tradition, those who insult the aged have voluntarily cut short their own path. It is not a curse from any man, it is principle of Omenala.Respect for elders is what keeps a man’s life long. Ndi Igbo say, onye kpasuru okenye iwe, o kpasuru ala iwe. When you insult the aged, you have invited Ala to judge. Let Aguocha ask elders in Nkwoegwu what happens when a young man repeatedly abuses an elder. Our ancestors said, it never ends well. Let him be warned.
WHERE IS YOUR SCORECARD? STOP RIGMAROLE
Finally, Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituents are still asking: where is your scorecard? For three years and some months, what have you done ward by ward? Publish your legislative scorecard: how many motions actually benefiting Ikwuano/Umuahia, how many health centres completed, how many classroom blocks, how many of the 121 projects on ground? Stop rigmarole of Facebook videos, stadium unveiling, and press statements. People want list: in Ikwuano – what did you do? In Umuahia North – what did you do? In Umuahia South – what did you do? That is representation.
2027 STARTS FROM NKWOEGWU AND SUE IF YOU CAN
Ndi Ikwuano/Umuahia are ashamed of this rascality. They have vowed he shall not smell Abuja come 2027, and that rejection shall start from his doorstep in Nkwoegwu, where his own road is a crater. If he believes he is popular, let him publish his scorecard and face his people in town hall, not Facebook. And that challenge remains: if Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has defamed you, man up and sue him in court. Stop shouting cyberbullying. Sue him. Let the court decide who is thief and who is not. Until then, bring our rice and fix Afugiri Health Centre.
BRING OUR RICE, FIX AFUGIRI, AND RESPECT ELDERS – IKWUANO/UMUAHIA HAS SPOKEN
