THE POT CALLING KETTLE BLACK: OBI AGUOCHA CRIES CYBERBULLYING AFTER THREE YEARS AND SOME MONTHS OF CYBER-BULLYING THE ORJIS

Obi Aguocha’s publication today crying about incitement, cyberbullying and incitement to violence against him would have attracted sympathy, if it was not coming from the biggest cyberbully in Abia politics. For three years and some months he has lived on Facebook Live and sponsored posts, abusing elders and opponents, but today he wants to be protected by the same Cybercrime Act he has been violating daily.
- WHAT AGUOCHA AND HIS GOONS HAVE CALLED THE ORJIS FOR THREE YEARS AND SOME MONTHS
For three years and some months, Aguocha and his goons have called Senator Theodore Ahamefula Orji and Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji every unprintable name – criminals, looters, N60 billion thieves, N150 billion thieves. He amplified every EFCC petition filed in 2015 and 2017 by political opponents, even though those cases are still mere allegations before the Federal High Court Umuahia where both men pleaded not guilty. Every day he wakes, he calls them criminals. We ask him today: Produce the court judgement that convicted His Excellency Distinguished Senator Theodore Ahamefula Orji and Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji as criminals. Show us the case number, the judge, the date of conviction. If you cannot produce it, then you are the criminal for criminal defamation.
- EXPANDING THE VILIFICATION LIST TO SILENCE ACCOUNTABILITY
Aguocha did not stop at the Orjis. Anybody who asks for scorecard is added to his vilification list. Chief Charles Ogbonna Evulogu Ibeku is now called serial looter. Ikechukwu Kelvin Okorie Ikukufied, an advocate for accountability who only asked what happened to N40.89 billion constituency funds and why the Federal road at Nkwoegwu gate remains collapsed, has been marked for insults. Pen Caleb, Ikechi Nwachukwu from Nsirimo, and Chinedu Obilor from Umuahia North have all been called paid agents and posh hotel boys for asking one question: Where is your project? That is the bullying he now pretends to be victim of.

Now Evulogu Ibeku has done what Aguocha has never had courage to do. He looked straight to camera, mentioned name, mentioned offence: You sold two trailer loads of rice palliative meant for Ndi Ikwuano Umuahia Federal Constituency in connivance with your in-law Aham Uko to Anambra businessmen. He then said: Sue me if I am lying. That is not cyberbullying. That is an elder placing his name, his title, and his integrity on the line and demanding a judicial test. As Mandate 27 Group reported yesterday, in August 2024 Aguocha’s own media office admitted that protest against him was about rice palliatives and constituency projects, but till today he has no distribution list to show.
- HE CANNOT ENDURE ONE PERCENT OF WHAT HE DISHES TO OTHERS
This is the hypocrisy behind the title – The Pot Calling Kettle Black. Obi Aguocha can call the Orji family criminals every day for three years and some months on Facebook Live without one court judgement to back it, but when Chief Charles Ogbonna says you sold rice for the poor, he cries cyberbullying and incitement to violence. He dishes poison for three years and some months but cannot swallow one spoon for one day. Produce the conviction judgement for the Orjis if you have it. If you don’t have it, you have been cyberbullying innocent men.
- DO YOUR WORST: SUE EVULOGU IBEKU NOW
So we say to Hon Obi Aguocha: Do your worst. Sue Evulogu Ibeku. You threatened. You have a lawyer. File that N1 billion suit at Umuahia High Court tomorrow morning. Let the court ask Evulogu to bring his proof, and let the court ask you to bring your distribution list of rice with ward, village, and phone numbers of beneficiaries in Ikwuano, Umuahia North and Umuahia South, and let the court also ask you to produce the conviction judgement that makes Theodore Orji and Chinedum Orji criminals. If you win, Evulogu pays and apologizes. If you lose, you resign and go home in peace. That is how men settle it, not with press releases about cyberbullying. Ndi Ikwuano Umuahia are tired of press releases. They want their rice and they want their good name cleared.
