There are very strong indications that the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal House of Representatives candidate, under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr. Okuji Obinna Oreh, is on a mission to rescue the Constituency.
This follows empirical developmental attributes of the Ozu Abam-born seasoned philanthropist, polymath, and finance expert, Dr.Oreh, who holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree, in economics, from the prestigious University of Vitez in alliance with the University of Manchester, belongs to many professional bodies and has attended several courses.
He started his professional career in banking and moved on to the oil and gas sector. He has vast work experience spanning over 20 years, in different sectors such as treasury, management, audit and compliance, commercial negotiation, business development, and shipping. He has worked in different countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe such as Angola, Ghana, Indonesia, Pakistan, Italy, etc.
His passion for community development drove him to establish Rafar World Outreach (RWO), through which he has undertaken many projects, not only in Abam but in other towns across Nigeria. Some of these projects are:
Provision of materials, and food to the people in 2012 when River Niger overflowed its banks and flood wreaked havoc, in Atani and Ogbaru.
In 2012, Dr. Oreh organized a football tournament and conference on peace for youths of the Arochukwu /Ohafia Federal constituency. He has provided clean, portable drinking water to a community in Akwa Ibom that lacked potable water.
For almost 20 years, Dr. Oreh has been providing widows with relief materials to lessen the burden of providing for their respective families. Hundreds of widows have benefitted from this scheme.
Dr. Oreh has also through RWO empowered women farmers with cassava processing equipment to enable the women to process their farm produce with ease and make more profit.
He has also leased farmland to farmers at no cost to enable them to increase their production capacity.
Oreh is not an emergency philanthropist, he has received several awards for developing his community both from the Church and community; standing tall among them is the title of Nwamara Abam in 2018.
These community development attributes position him as a viable candidate running on the APGA platform at the polls, as he is determined to do something g different.
His party, APGA, is the only party that has a manifesto with a formal set of principle goals that are supported by inherent good deeds that have resounding appeal to the general public.
Oreh’s formidable profile gives an insight into what he believes in. It shows what is important to him and he will be positioned to do way more as his capacity is increased when elected.
His entry into politics is on a rescue mission using APGA as a platform. He should be voted for to represent Arochukwu/Ohafia as the constituency will be better for it.
The constituency has been confronted with myriad problems over the years. Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituents are to use the power of their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to change the narrative because he has a lot to offer the constituency.
Dr. Oreh is on a mission to rescue the people of Arochukwu/Ohafia from years of neglect and backwardness on the altar of poor political leadership, let us join hands to make this vision a reality.
