UMUANA, UMUAHIA — The annual Iri Ji Ndume Okpu celebration of Umuana Community was held in an atmosphere of cultural pride, communal solidarity and renewed commitment to the preservation of the community’s heritage, as the people gathered to celebrate the new yam harvest. The event, hosted by Hon. Chief Paul Meregini, also attracted the presence of the Senator-in-waiting for Abia Central Senatorial District, Hon. Emeka Atuma, whose participation added a significant dimension to the celebration.
