The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general election in Nigeria, Peter Obi, has cleared the air regarding his visit to the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike. He made this known during an interview session on Arise TV on Wednesday, June 6, 2022.
While asked by one of the interviewer, Peter Obi clearly stated that his visit to Governor Wike was strictly for business, and not for any political gang up.
He said that he is actually visiting governor of states that are highly critical to the development of Nigeria, and Rivers State is on of them. He also stated that his discussions with Governor Wike is centered on the development of Nigeria, and he was opportune to see the sea port in Rivers State, which will be one of his major target of improvement if he is elected president of Nigeria come 2023.

Peter Obi, also made it known that he will definitely visit all the governors, and states in Nigeria because his aim is to see Nigeria work, and he can only achieve that when he work in synergy with all the states in the country.
