The desperate attempt by Obi Aguocha Frontliners to turn facts about FCE Ofeme road into attack on Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji is disingenuous and glaring demonstration of selective amnesia. They ask what moral standing Chinedum Orji has. We answer: moral standing built on visible record, not on press releases about procurement.

Chinedum Orji has moral standing to lecture anyone on representation because he represented and delivered. From 2015 to 2023, Umuahia Central saw mini-stadiums, transformers, roads, empowerment, legislative influence that made Abia House of Assembly speak for workers, for local government autonomy. What is Aguocha’s moral standing? 3 years as federal legislator, FCE Ofeme road in his own Ohuhu still deplorable, and his defense is “Obi Aguocha is not Governor, not Federal Ministry of Works.” If he is not Governor, not Works, what is he? Why was he elected?
FAMILY INFLUENCE IS NOT CRIME, FAILURE IS
FROM 1999 TO 2007, CHIEF T.A. ORJI SERVED AS CHIEF OF STAFF, FROM 2007 TO 2015 AS GOVERNOR, FROM 2015 AS SENATOR — YES, AND THAT IS CALLED POLITICAL CV, NOT CRIME.

Chinedum Orji as Majority Leader and Speaker influenced bills that protected workers. That is concentration of power with concentration of projects. Aguocha’s concentration of power in Ohuhu has concentrated only excuses.
Ikechi Emenike, a prominent Ohuhu son and other eminent sons of Ofeme would shudder on whether it was a mistake to press on President Muhamadu Buhari, God rest his soul, for approving the Institution and the insensitivity of an Ohuhu son to keep the legacy alive.

But even if his career revolved around government, so what? Legislative work is public service. You do not need private factory to qualify to represent. You need heart for people. Orji has it.

Federal College of Education Ofeme is federal institution. Its road needs federal legislative intervention. That intervention is duty of current federal representative — Obi Aguocha. When Orji family was in Government House and Assembly, they attracted federal institutions to Abia. Now that Ofeme exists, maintaining access is duty of current holder. You cannot say “if T.A. Orji years had delivered attention to Ofeme, would community still struggle?” Yes, they delivered institution itself. Now you struggle to deliver road to institution delivered by others.

Video that raised road was by Chinedu Obialor, Iyierioba Fayose, an indigene of Ohuhu, not by Orji. He cried because his people suffer.
MANDATE 27 GROUP only amplified citizen cry and asked legitimate question: where is legislative intervention? That is not weapon, that is advocacy. Weapon is when Aguocha’s media coven brands Orji family as thieves daily, prodding EFCC, manufacturing lies. That is weaponisation of personal war. We do issue-based politics.
ABSIIDP BIDDING IS NOT ROAD, IT IS PAPER
MORE IMPORTANTLY, THEY CLAIM ABSIIDP PUBLIC BIDDING PROCESS FOR OFEME CORRIDOR IS CONCRETE STEP. WE AGREE IT IS STEP, BUT STEP IS NOT ROAD.
Public bidding is not completed construction. No responsible person should claim road has been fixed before work is executed — they themselves admit. So why use bidding as cover for failure of legislative intervention? Bidding by present government is state government effort, not Aguocha effort. Aguocha cannot claim State Government bidding as his achievement when road remains hell. Students don’t walk on bidding documents, they walk on mud. When will process translate to actual construction? That is question Aguocha should answer, not Frontliners with essay. Do not drag the State into another’s insensitivity.

That office has legislative, oversight, constituency responsibilities, including duty to advocate for federal interventions. So what advocacy has he done for Ofeme? Show motion moved. Show letter to Works. Show budgetary provision lobbied. Show oversight visit with FERMA. Show one documented representation. His Frontliners cannot show because intervention is comatose. So saying he is not Works is not defense, it is confession that he has done nothing with Works.

Federal College of Education is in his domain. If he cannot attract intervention to his own domain, what will he attract to Ikwuano or Umuahia North? Quality representation begins at home. Orji’s quality representation began at Umuahia Central and spread to Ikwuano, to Ohuhu, building mini-stadiums and transformers outside constituency as brotherhood. Aguocha’s representation begins at Ohuhu and fails at Ohuhu. That is why moral standing question collapses.

FACT: No verifiable federal intervention for that road. Those are facts. Personal attacks and convenient erasure of history is what Aguocha Frontliners do when they brand Orji family as thieves without court conviction, when they erase that Orji family built schools they now accuse of diversion.

Let Frontliners stop defending failure and start demanding construction. Orji’s record remains open to scrutiny and has been scrutinized — and it passed because projects stand. Let Aguocha’s 3 years also be scrutinized openly.

8 years as legislator, 4 as Majority Leader, 4 as Speaker, understands legislative engineering, understands budget, understands lobbying. Ikwuano Umuahia Federal Constituency needs man who knows how to attract federal presence, not man who knows how to attract media controversy. Orji wants to go to National Assembly not to remain relevant — he is already relevant by record — but to give Ikwuano Umuahia quality representation that has been comatose.

That is our position too. But road must not become excuse for defending failure. Chinedum Orji has accounted for his record — mini-stadiums, transformers, roads, speakership that gave Abia voice. Now Obi Aguocha should account for his own record before his Frontliners question Orji’s moral standing.
