Obi Aguocha And His Media Team: Why Are You Dragging The Communities Of Ohuhu Through The Mud For Political Gain? Is It A Mission To Destabilize The Ohuhu Nation? – By Mandate 27 Group

Obi Aguocha’s media team has once again picked up the pen, this time to call the Mandate 27 Group “hirelings” and to accuse them of whitewashing a transformer scandal in Ndi Umuda. Before the noise settles, Ndi Ikwuano, Umuahia North and Umuahia South deserve to ask a few questions of their own.

Obi Aguocha's Media Team Dragging Ohuhu Communities in the Mud - By Mandate 27 Group

Let us start with the story itself, because it has changed shape in front of everybody. The first article asked, “Where is the transformer?” It claimed the community prepared a space, waited three years, and never received anything. Now, in this fresh publication, the same camp admits that a transformer was brought to Ndi Umuda after all, and the new complaint is that it was “old, rotten and non-functional.” So which is it? Was nothing delivered, or was something delivered and rejected? A story that changes its foundation within days is not an accountability enquiry. It is a campaign script being rewritten as it goes.

And since your writer is so confident that the equipment was “old, rotten and non-functional,” let him show the evidence. Who inspected it? Which engineer certified it as faulty? What date was it delivered, and who was present? Where are the photographs, the inspection report and the names of the community leaders who rejected it? An accusation without documents is just a rumour with a bigger vocabulary.

Now to the name-calling. A media team that cannot name ten wards that have benefited from 3 years and 9 months of representation has no business calling anybody a hireling. If defending a candidate’s record makes people hirelings, what do we call those who spend their days manufacturing grievances for the incumbent? Abians can see who is working for what.

But the bigger question is this. Why is every Ohuhu community suddenly the stage for your political drama? Having been busy with one, you have now shifted to Ndi Umuda. Is this the plan, to pick up one Ohuhu community after another, parade it on social media, humiliate it in the name of politics, and move on when the next headline is needed? Ohuhu is an ancient and proud land. Its people are not props, and their disputes and needs are not ammunition for any politician’s campaign.

So we ask plainly: is Obi Aguocha on a mission to destabilise and destroy the Ohuhu Nation? Is that what the strategy has come to? Because if a community’s genuine electricity concern is only worth discussing when an election is near, then the concern was never about electricity at all.

Let us also remind everyone of the facts your writers keep leaving out. Rt. Hon. Engr. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji represented the Umuahia Central State Constituency as House Leader and Speaker. Ohuhu was represented by Hon. Kelechi Onuzuruike. If a community has a complaint, there are people with a duty to address it, and a former Speaker of another constituency is not the first name on that list. Yet only one name is being dragged, and the people can see exactly why.

If Ndi Umuda truly have a grievance, they deserve a solution, not a stage show. Let the transformer be inspected publicly by a qualified engineer. Let the relevant officials explain. Let the people receive power. That is what a community wants, and it does not need a media team to turn its problem into a weapon.

Meanwhile, the questions your handlers keep running from are still standing. Where are the ten wards you have served? Where is the palliative rice list? What became of your allowances and constituency funds? Until you answer, no lecture about whitewashing will carry any weight.

Ohuhu is not your battlefield, Honourable. Leave the people alone and face your own record.
