High Chief Ikechi Emenike Reveals His Plans for the Health Sector of Abia State When He Becomes Governor

A HEALTHY SOCIETY, BREEDS A WEALTHY PEOPLE.

During my discussion at Flo 94.9 FM Umuahia , I categorically stated that Abia State is one of the only states that do not have a federally funded teaching hospital, and this denies God’s own state of the numerous benefits that would come with such facility. This is because, the executive have not properly aligned visions with such missions that commands provisions.

My administration will prioritise healthcare by ensuring that the 17 LGAs in Abia, have a fully equipped, functional and affordable GENERAL HOSPITAL, while the rural communities will also have access to equipped primary healthcare facilities and services.

I will liaise with the federal government of Nigeria, to IMMEDIATELY, ensure the establishment of a Federal institute of medical sciences and a world-class teaching hospital within my four years in office. I have outlined these building blocks of development in my manifesto and will implement a value oriented leadership service as the Governor of Abia State.
An era where Doctors wouldn’t have to go on strike because they are owed. This and many more, are my visions for God’s own state.
