The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina received the first dose of COVID-19 Astrazeneca Vaccine today being Monday the 8th day of March 2021, at the State House Clinic in Abuja. He actually shared this information on his various social media handles.
The COVID-19 Astrazeneca Vaccine actually arrived Nigeria last week, and you can recall that both President Muhammadu Buhari, and his Vice, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo got themselves vaccinated with the vaccine just two days ago. This was carried out in the presence of the press of both national and private media.
The first phase of the national vaccination targets frontline health workers, their supporting staffs, and strategic leaders in the country. It kick-started on Friday, March 5th 2021 at the National Hospital in Abuja.
Mr. Adesina describes the experience as being painless, and he also urges eligible citizens of Nigeria to come out and get themselves vaccinated.
