The President Vision Africa International Bishop, Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha has conveyed his shock over the disturbing news of the ghastly accident that occurred along Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway on Saturday which claimed many lives.

In a release he personally signed, the Methodist Bishop, said he was disturbed, seeing pictures of the mishap on social media, adding that even though the actual cause of the accident was still unknown, such scenes are heartbreaking as well as terrifying considering the number of lives said to have died in the accident.

Bishop, Dr Onuoha who is also the Co-Chair of Inter Faith Dialogue Forum for Peace, prayed God for the survivors especially the Transition Committee Chairman Isiala Ngwa South, Hon. Ike Anyatonwu among others.

He condoled with families of those that lost loved ones in the unfortunate situation, urging them to take solace from God while also praying God to grant their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

By way of advice, the Peace Ambassador used the medium to a remind motorists and other road users that “slow and steady wins the race” advising them to always apply the necessary safety measures especially now that the ember months are here.

Bishop, Dr. Onuoha also called on the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), to take drastic action against those who violate traffic rules and continue to guard against over speeding on our roads.
