The Candidate of the Youth Progressives Party (YPP), for Abia Central Senatorial District in the 2023 general election, Chief Chuku Wachuku, has urged Abians to get their PVC, and vote massively for all candidates of YPP. He made this known on Saturday, 25th June 2022 after receiving the party’s flag as a bearer at the official declaration cum Mega Rally, held at Ngwa High School, Aba.

Chief Wachuku alongside other candidates of the party, which includes the Governorship candidate for YPP, Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor, his running mate, Dr. Chima Anyaso, were presented with the party’s flag by the duo of the National and State Chairman of the party: Comrade Bishop Amakiri and Mr Chimex Uluocha. The event was witnessed by party faithfuls and mammoth crowd of supporters who are present on ground.

Addressing newsmen shortly after the official unveiling, Chief Wachuku, noted that today is not a speech making day. He re-emphasized his earlier pledge of creating family economic wealth as against Keke Napep empowerment which is common among politicians in the State.

He said YPP is battle ready to give Abians succour, pointing out that Abians deserve a new lease of life having suffered all these years from maladministration and impunity.

Chief Wachuku, who expressed delight, hobnobbing with Young Progressives at the Official Declaration, said with the calibre of people running for various positions under the platform of the party, the party is on the path of making history. He also stated that YPP remains a party to beat come 2023 general election.

The former DG, National Directorate of Employment, NDE, promised to make sure that jobs are created for the teeming youth of Abia Central if elected, reiterating that he will ensure that the people of his constituency are trained to own and mann businesses of their own while relying less on white collar jobs that are not readily available.

Chief Wachuku urged party faithful to be steadfast, resolute and work collaboratively, stressing that victory is achievable if they redouble their efforts.

He, however charged Abians to go and get their Permanent Voters Card as this alone will enable them to vote for all YPP candidates in the forthcoming general election.
