Women Leaders Rally Behind Atuma as Abia Central 2027 Senate Race Gains Momentum

At a strategic meeting in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, the women leaders vowed to embark on aggressive ward-level mobilization, community engagement, and voter sensitization aimed at consolidating support for Atuma across the zone. Their position signals the rise of a structured and determined campaign machinery capable of shaping the direction of the senatorial race well ahead of the polls.

In their remarks, Hon. Mrs. Chinenye Timothy, woman leader of the Grace Movement in Umuahia North LGA, and Hon. Ifenyinwa Kalu, her counterpart in the Kabila Movement, said their confidence in Atuma is anchored on his proven record, political maturity, and capacity to deliver effective representation.

The women described Atuma as a leader of uncommon sagacity who, during his tenure in the House of Representatives between 2003 and 2007, served with honesty, diligence, and a clear sense of duty to the people of Ikwuano-Umuahia. According to them, his return to the political front line represents an opportunity to reposition Abia Central for a stronger voice, better advocacy, and more meaningful dividends of representation.

They further stated that Atuma’s leadership would go beyond rhetoric, insisting that his administration would focus on practical service delivery rather than empty promises. They expressed confidence that his election to the Senate would restore political relevance and economic direction to Abia Central.

Also present at the meeting were Hon. Nwaubani Udochukwu, coordinator of the Grace Movement for Emeka Atuma in Umuahia North, and Hon. Jerry Chinecherem Nwokocha, coordinator of the Kabila Movement in Umuahia North. Both praised the women and pledged to work in synergy with them in the grassroots drive for Rep. Emeka Atuma
