Super Eagles media officer, Babafemi Raji has addressed the issue and concerns felt by Nigerians after the duo of Victor Osimhen and Alhassan Yusuf trained away from the main squad in preparation for the game between Nigeria and the host country, Cote d’Ivoire, taking place on Thursday.
Osimhen played the entire 90 minutes of the 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea, while Yusuf was replaced in the second half by Joe Aribo.
Raji has assured that both players should be available for selection against Cote d’Ivoire on Thursday
“We know Alhassan Yusuf left the pitch yesterday; it was just a cramp, and the same with Victor Osimhen, just a slight strain.
“But it is nothing to worry about; it’s just precautionary. They would still be available for selection when the time comes.
“So, it’s just precautionary; it’s just part of the normal routine,” Raji told reporters.
