OHUHU ROAD OF SHAME: WHEN REPRESENTATION BECOMES INSENSITIVITY UNDER AGUOCHA’S NOSE

Ohuhu is the domain of Obi Aguocha, the Member representing Ikwuano Umuahia Federal Constituency. Ohuhu is where Federal College of Education Ofeme is situated. That institution is federal institution. That institution sits in his home. Yet the road leading to that institution, under Obi Aguocha’s nose, is worse than hell.
A FEDERAL INSTITUTION IN YOUR HOME, AND YOU GO DUMB
FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION OFEME IS NOT IN LAGOS, IT IS IN OHUHU, YOUR HOME. When federal legislative interventions are needed, Aguocha would go dumb. Students of FCE Ofeme cry out daily about the deplorable route leading to their school. No intervention. No motion. No committee push for ecological or FERMA funds. All to no avail. This shows lack of sensitivity when it is needed.
THE ROAD THAT MOCKS REPRESENTATION
THE ROUTE LEADING TO FCE OFEME IS DEPLORABLE BEYOND DESCRIPTION. In rainy season, it is swamp. In dry season, it is dust pit. Students carry their shoes, keke cannot enter, lecturers park far and trek. Parents who bring their children to resume school weep. This is road to federal college, not road to farm settlement. And it is in domain of sitting Green Chamber member.
PRIORITY MISPLACED: ORJI ON LIPS, OFEME OFF MIND
UNFORTUNATELY, ON DAILY BASIS, RT HON CHINEDUM ENYINNAYA ORJI AND HIS FAMILY’S NAME ARE ON HIS LIPS. Instead of talking about FCE Ofeme road, he talks about Orji. Instead of moving motion for road to his home institution, he moves mouth against another man. This is deliberate misplacement of priority. Students need road, he gives them gossip.
STUDENTS ARE CRYING, REPRESENTATION IS NOT HEARING
STUDENTS OF FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION OFEME ARE CRYING OUT, ALL TO NO AVAIL. They have protested. They have posted videos. They have tagged representation. No response. A sensitive representative would have attracted NDDC, UBEC, TETFund access road intervention, Federal Ministry of Works rural access, or at least FERMA palliative. But sensitivity is absent.
INSENSITIVITY IN ITS DECREPIT FORM
WOULD IKWUANO UMUAHIA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY CONTINUE TO BE REPRESENTED BY AN INDIVIDUAL OF DECREPIT INSENSITIVITY AND EXPECT GROWTH? This is the question Ohuhu people now ask in their huts. If your home has federal college and you cannot give it access road, what will you give Ikwuano that is farther? What will you give Olokoro, Oboro, Ibeku that are not Ohuhu?
THIS IS NOT JUST BAD ROAD, IT IS MURDER OF ACADEMIC SECTOR
THIS IS DELIBERATE MURDER OF THE ACADEMIC SECTOR. Federal College of Education trains teachers. Teachers train children. Children become future. When you kill road to teacher training institution, you kill future teachers’ morale, you kill academic environment, you kill enrolment, you kill reputation. A federal institution under your nose dying slowly, and you are busy mentioning Orji’s family name daily.
OHUHU DESERVES MORE THAN NOISE
OHUHU IS NOT A DOMAIN FOR NOISE, OHUHU IS DOMAIN FOR DELIVERY. Ohuhu gave mandate to its son to bring federal presence home. What federal presence has entered Ohuhu? Is it road to Ofeme? No. Is it UBEC for Mbator Primary School that still cries? No. Is it ecological fund for erosion in Ohuhu? No. What has entered is daily attack on Orji family. That is not representation.
FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE INTERVENTION IS NOT SOCIAL MEDIA
WHEN FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE INTERVENTIONS ARE NEEDED, AGUOCHA WOULD GO DUMB. To intervene federally is to write to Federal Ministry of Education, to lobby TETFund for access road, to move motion that FCE Ofeme road is emergency, to put it in budget via Appropriation. That is legislative work. That work is not done. But when it comes to talking about Orji, voice is loud. That is insensitivity.
THE SHAME OF HAVING FEDERAL COLLEGE AND NO ROAD
WHAT A SHAME: FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION OFEME SITUATED IN OBI AGUOCHA’S HOME, OHUHU, AND NO ROAD. Visitors from other states who come for admission ask: is this where you say your House member comes from? Students who posted admission on social media are mocked by friends: your school road is hell. That mockery falls not on students, but on representation that looked away.
QUESTIONING INTEGRITY: ROAD IN RUINS, MOUTH MANUFACTURING LIES
QUESTION AGUOCHA’S INTEGRITY IF ROAD TO FEDERAL INSTITUTION IN HIS DOMAIN IS IN SUCH DEPLORABLE STATE AND ALL HE DOES IS MANUFACTURE LIES AGAINST RT HON CHINEDUM ENYINNAYA ORJI AND HIS FAMILY. What integrity does a representative have when his home federal institution is in ruins and his daily job is to manufacture lies against another man and his family? Integrity is not about how loudly you attack a family, it is about how sincerely you fix your home. Road to Ofeme exposes integrity deficit.
WAS HE ELECTED TO LEGISLATE ON INFRASTRUCTURE OR FABRICATE FALSEHOOD?
ASK IF THAT WAS WHY HE WAS ELECTED TO SPEAK FOR IKWUANO UMUAHIA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY. Was Aguocha elected to go to Green Chamber to speak for Ikwuano Umuahia Federal Constituency, to attract federal roads, federal schools, federal jobs, or was he elected to sit in Abuja and manufacture lies against Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji and his family? Was mandate given to build FCE Ofeme access or to build propaganda against Orji family? Ikwuano Umuahia people must ask this.
ORJI’S MODEL VS AGUOCHA’S MODEL
COMPARE MODELS: RT HON CHINEDUM ENYINNAYA ORJI REFUSES TEMPTATION OF JOINING ISSUES DESPITE UNWARRANTED ATTACKS. He does not talk about Aguocha daily. He focuses on how to distribute benefits: how Ikwuano Umuahia will align with centre to attract what Ohuhu, Ibeku, Olokoro need. That is sensitivity. Other model is to talk about family daily and leave road to rot. That is insensitivity.
IKWUANO UMUAHIA MUST JUDGE
CALL ON THE PEOPLE OF IKWUANO UMUAHIA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY TO JUDGE FOR THEMSELVES IF THIS IS THE KIND OF REPRESENTATION THEY YEARN FOR. Do you yearn for representation that leaves FCE Ofeme road in deplorable condition under his nose but finds energy to mention Orji family daily? Do you yearn for road or for gossip? Do you yearn for growth or for grudge?
OFEME ROAD IS TEST OF CAPACITY
OFEME ROAD IS SIMPLE TEST OF CAPACITY. If you cannot fix road to federal college in your village, you cannot fix federal presence in Ikwuano. If you cannot attract FERMA to Ofeme, you cannot attract ecological funds to Ikwuano erosion. If you cannot hear students crying in Ohuhu, you cannot hear farmers crying in Ikwuano. Capacity is tested at home first.
STUDENTS’ CRY IS CONSTITUENCY’S CRY
STUDENTS ARE NOT POLITICIANS, THEY ARE CONSTITUENTS. When students of Federal College of Education Ofeme cry out on the situation all to no avail, they are telling Ohuhu that representation has failed. They are telling parents not to bring wards to school with bad road. They are telling Nigeria that federal institution in South East is abandoned by its own son.
DELIBERATE NEGLECT IS DELIBERATE FAILURE
THIS IS NOT ORDINARY NEGLECT, IT IS DELIBERATE MURDER OF ACADEMIC SECTOR AS STATED. Because you know road is bad, you ply it, you see it, you live near it, yet you do nothing federally, yet you have time to talk about Orji and his family daily. That is choice. Choice to ignore academic sector in your domain. Ikwuano Umuahia cannot grow with such choice.
CONCLUSION: JUDGMENT BELONGS TO PEOPLE
CONCLUSION: OHUHU HAS FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION OFEME, BUT ROAD LEADING TO IT IS WORSE THAN HELL UNDER OBI AGUOCHA’S NOSE. Students cry, no intervention. Meanwhile Orji’s name is on his lips daily, manufacturing lies instead of manufacturing solutions. Would Ikwuano Umuahia Federal Constituency continue to be represented by an individual of decrepit insensitivity and expect growth? The people of Ikwuano, of Umuahia North, Umuahia South, Ohuhu, Ibeku, Olokoro, Oboro must judge for themselves if this is the kind of representation they yearn for. Growth needs sensitivity, not insensitivity.
