The name Odion Ighalo should at least ring a bell in the head of every Nigerian today. Apart from him being an ex striker of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, his return to the English Premier League and securing a deal with the biggest club in England, re-inteiduces him to limelight.
Odion Jude Ighalo is one those kids who grew up in the ghetto, Ajegunle to be precise. His place of birth didn’t limit his dream, as he aimed higher in all of his endeavours. He started his footballing career in Ajegunle, but that does not limit his dream of conquering the world.
The image below contains the picture of the compound where Ighalo leave and started his footballing career in Ajegunle.
At least you can see he came from a poor background. But that does not limit his dream, as he is a big soccer start now. Now take a look at the image below and see the luxurious mansion where he is leaving now in Lekki.
You will agree with me that this is a typical story of moving from grass to grace.
Odion Ighalo is the first Nigerian to play for Manchester United as he made his debut with the club in the match they played against Chelsea in Stanford Bridge on February 17. 2020. Manchester United came out victorious as they defeated Chelsea by 2 goals to nil.
