The newly-elected chairman of the Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria (OMPAN), Abia State Chapter, Promise Uzoma Okoro, has promised to get the ground running immediately after his inauguration. He made this known during his acceptance speech after his victory in the association’s general election that took place on March 17, 2024.
He thanked members for their massive support, as they voted massively for him, and promise he won’t fail them as he will serve as an instrument that will gear the revival of the association. He also said that no member will be sitting on the bench as every single member will be appointed into one committee or the other.
He said all members will be collectively involved, so that when the association succeeds, all members will be given the deserved accolade. He promised those that didn’t vote for him, that they won’t be excluded, as he will be magnanimous in victory.
The chairman-elect also uses the medium to solicit for the support of his opposing candidate, Clinton Uba, who came second in just-concluded election. I his words
“the election is over, it is time for us to work together and build this association. Today is my turn, tomorrow will definitely be yours, and I that I will also give you the support you need.”
The inauguration of the elected excos is slated for March 22, 2024.
