A look at the new market site at Okwulaga Afaraukwu, made possible through the efforts of Hon. Chinasa Anthony, Member Representing Umuahia Central State Constituency.
For now, it is still an open piece of land covered with vegetation. But looking at the size and location of the site, you can already begin to imagine what it could become when fully developed.
A functional market here would mean more than just shops and stalls.
It could create space for traders, provide opportunities for small businesses, and make commercial activities more accessible to people within the community and surrounding areas.
There are also accessible road networks currently under construction around the area, which will make it easier for traders and customers to access the market when it becomes operational.
This is still the beginning. The real story will be in what eventually becomes of this site.
