Sir Innocent Chimezie Nwachukwu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Umuahia East State Constituency, has been inaugurated as a member of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council in Abia State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Nwachukwu joined other APC candidates, party officials and prominent stakeholders at the inauguration ceremony held at the International Conference Centre in Umuahia. The event formed part of the party’s preparations for the forthcoming elections.
The campaign council is expected to coordinate the APC’s mobilisation efforts, grassroots engagement and campaign activities across Abia State in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
The ceremony brought together candidates contesting various constituencies, party leaders and supporters. According to party officials, their participation reflects the APC’s efforts to strengthen its internal structure and improve coordination ahead of the elections.
Following his inauguration, Nwachukwu is expected to contribute to the party’s grassroots mobilisation efforts and broader campaign strategy in the state.
