“Abians should join the trend where people are looking for professionals with experience”.
“My promises are not rhetoric, they are what Abians will see. I know the condition Abia State Polytechnic was when I met it, I brought life into an institution that was going down the drain. Every family in Abia state has felt the footprints of what I have done; because almost all families in Abia state has children or ward that went through Abia Poly or ABSU”.
“What Abians are looking for now is a man that has experience and will deliver to Abians the dividends of democracy. I am a man who will continue in the footsteps of our present governor”.
He also said the party has been enjoying the dividends of democracy before now while he was playing the politics outside. He stated that if the party gives him the 2023 governorship ticket, he will represent what the people of Abia needs.
“We welcome Prof. Ikonne and his team. If not for the extension of the sale of form, we would have failed to witness the presence of this brilliant scholar. I am happy with the caliber of aspirants that are fighting for the governorship ticket under PDP”.
“Prof Ikonne is a good product, and when you have a good product, it will be very easy to sale. Since he said I should give him the ticket, I will give him the ticket under one condition. Our party is called the People’s Democratic Party, and the “People” embedded in the name is very important. It is the delegate and people of Abia state that has the capacity of issuing the ticket”.
The party chairman also addresses the need for peaceful campaign among aspirants.
“This is a family, your campaigning should be peaceful. Don’t go about fighting other aspirants, because the party will collectively embrace any aspirant that emerges”.
