A renowned entrepreneur who recently joined the race to seal the governorship position in Abia state, Chief Eric Opah, has scaled through the PDP Screening that took place today at the National Secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party in Wadata, Abuja. The governorship primary election is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
Interacting with newsmen after the screening on Thursday, Chief Opah who is well known for his charitable deeds across the country said his mission is to give Abia a new direction. He added that he can chart a new course for Abia and Abians at large.
Chief Eric openly noted that Abia craves massive infrastructural development, emphasizing that, if elected as the PDP flag bearer, and eventually emerges as the Governor of Abia State, Abia will join the league of states with massive infrastructures.
Eric Opah who hails from Mbubo-Nsulu in Isiala Ngwa North, LGA of Abia State, charged the delegates to vote accordingly come Saturday. He stressed that the unity, progress and future of the party will be relying heavily on them in respect to the decision they make on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the venue of the Governorship Primary.

He also commended the screening committee in Abuja for leaving no stone unturned during the exercise, stressing democracy has indeed come to stay in Nigeria.
