MASS ENDORSEMENT TRAILS REP. EMEKA ATUMA’S ABIA CENTRAL SENATORAL BID.

If endorsement is what is required to achieve electoral victory, and why not, then Hon Emeka Atuma, the All Progressives Congress Party( APC) candidate for 2027 election would have pulled the rug off the feet of his competitors.

In the past couple of months, the streak of endorsements that have trailed his campaign has created palpable fear and shock down the spines of his rivals.
Most remarkably these endorsements extend to areas least considered the strongholds of the former law maker.
The endorsement of Rep Emeka Atuma as sole candidate for Abia Central Senatorial zone so far across the six local Government Areas that constitute the Abia Central Senatorial zone include but is not limited to the following: Women of four Clans and (57) villages of Ikwuano local Government area, Farmers, Widows Association, Ikwuano LGA, Isiala Ngwa South Stakeholders Forum, Ohuhu Traditional Rulers Council who bestowed on him the chieftaincy title of “Ihieukwu Ohuhu” and endorsed him as their sole candidate for Senate Abia Central contest come 2027.
However ,the “mother” of all endorsements for this energetic, focused and highly mobile politician is the one by Ikwuano/ Umuahia Community Women Leaders Association at their summit which took place at Jubilee Hall, Mater Dei Cathedral on Wednesday , October 7, 2026. The more than two thousand capacity auditorium was filled to the brim even as hundreds of other delegates to the summit stood outside the hall to show solidarity.
One after the other, the women who spoke through their leaders, including their President Mrs V. Ehilegbu, Mrs Joy Maduka, former Head of Service and Mrs Chinyere Frank Ibe among others said women population often determine the outcome of electoral victory and emphasized the resolve of Ikwuano/ Umuahia Women Association to use their votes wisely in creating a better future for the zone in 2027 general election.
The leaders observed that gone were the days when politicians would visit them only during election period and after coasting to victory, turn their back on them.
The summit also revisited the equity principle that has guided the sharing of elective offices in the political bloc and took serious exception to current attempt by their Umunneato Ngwa counterparts to truncate the arrangement.
Visibly, Hon Emeka Atuma, the flambouyant politician seems to have everything going for him in the forthcoming Senatorial contest.
Stakeholders of Abia Central Senatorial zone have earlier adopted him as their consensus candidate across party lines for the forthcoming general elections.
In addition, the outcome of a random survey conducted by a group of journalists in Abia Central placed Hon Emeka Atuma ahead of his rivals.
Affable and dynamic , Atuma has all that is required to clinch the Abia Central seat even at the first ballot. His political rivals know this too well, hence, they have long become jittery.
The Abia Central Senatorial hopeful has already set up his legislative blueprint which remarkably, would be unmatched in the annals of representation of Abia Central Senatorial zone.
