In his words, “Our mission is simple, which is to rescue and develop Abia.’
“If you go to a dirty environment, the first thing you ought to do is to clean up the place before you will start to build or redesign. We want to rescue Abia by first winning the governorship election come March 2023 and then occupying strategic positions in the state.”
High Chief Emenike explained that corruption has gotten so dip in Abia state, stating that this was so simply because the same corrupt leaders have been at the helm of affairs in the state for the past twenty-four years. He maintained that until a new team with good ambition takes over the state, the corruption will continue. Meaning that he and his team from the All Progressive Congress is the only panacea for this bad ailment Abia is facing today.
“Developing Abia state, on the other hand, entails bringing in the right infrastructures and policies. We have a formidable team that can make Abia work again. We want to make Abia a first-world state in a third-world country.”
The 23-point manifesto by the APC gubernatorial candidate has so many key deliveries that are geared towards the development of Abia state at large. One of the major ways High Chief Emenike tends to create a better and developed Abia is by enhancing the quality and size of the Abia budget. He stated that the current budget of under two hundred billion nairas (N200 billion) cannot make the necessary difference in the development of the state.
Chief Emenike, also promised that, at the end of their first four years in office, Abia will be spiritually, physically, economically, and socially better than the way it has been before.
The Abia APC governorship flag bearer indulges all journalists and newsmen to take this 2023 election seriously this time around. He said he is aware that journalists are in the duty of monitoring elections, but they should try as much as possible to, first of all, cast their votes before carrying out their monitoring duties.
He also advised electorates in Abia to come out and vote for him, as he and his team are on a mission to rescue and bring development to Abia. He said that should refrain from having mindsets that elections have already been rigged, that assuming it has been rigged, candidates wouldn’t be campaigning and seeking for votes from them.
