Umuahia soccer fans were treated to the best of football at the Micheal Okpara Demostration Secondary School pitch on Saturday, when newly promoted Akwa Starlets FC came visiting to have a pre-season friendly match against Abia Warriors FC.
The game was full of intrigues and suspense keeping the spectators at the edge of their seats, until the 22nd minute when Moses shot the visitors ahead after a beautiful combination with Femi

On resumption of the second half, the host Abia Warriors got the game underway with three changes, which paid off in the 55 minutes when Phillip Auta stylishly gave the Warriors the lead with a perfect assist from Oni jimoh
It became a ding dong affair until full time.
Abia Warriors will play another friendly against J.Atete on Wednesday before hitting Kano for the Ahlan preseason tournament beginning on 5th October.
