According to the statement recently released by the Nigerian Customs Service, Ann attempt to export the listed items/goods or snuggle them across the Nigerian borders will be termed illegal, and punishable under the relevant laws of Nigeria.

The 8 Items/goods are as follows:

  1. Maize
  2. Timber (rough or sawn)
  3. Raw hides and skin (including Wet Blue and all unfinished leather) H.S Codes 4101.2000.00 – 4108.9200.00
  4. Scrap metals
  5. Unprocessed rubber latex and rubber lumps
  6. Artifacts and Antiquities
  7. Wild Life animals classified as endangered species and their products e.g Eliphant, Crocodile, Lizard, Monkey, Lion, Eagle, Zebra etc.
  8. All goods imported.

So, if you intend to export any of these items/goods you better have a change of mind, or you face the consequence of the Nigerian law.
