The Abia United Farmers and Widows Association has pledged its total support for the senatorial ambition of Hon. Emeka Atuma, popularly known as Kabila, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The association made its position known during an outreach programme held in Umuahia, where over 300 farmers and widows from across Abia Central Senatorial District gathered to mobilize support for Atuma and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking at the event, the State Coordinator of the association, Lady Precious Uwaoma (Onyeuwaoma), said the meeting was organized to sensitize members and stakeholders on the association’s decision to support Hon Atuma for the Abia Central Senatorial District seat, alongside Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji for the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency and other APC candidates.
Uwaoma said the large turnout demonstrated the level of interest among farmers and widows in the political process, noting that the crowd exceeded the expected number of participants.
She explained that the association would support candidates across political positions based on their capacity to improve the welfare and livelihood of the people, while specifically identifying Atuma, Chinedum Orji and APC Governorship candidate, Chief Eric Opah, among those receiving its backing.
According to her, the association had considered Atuma’s previous record of service and contributions during his tenure in the House of Representatives as part of the reasons for supporting his senatorial aspiration.
She expressed confidence that Atuma would do more for the people if elected to the Senate, while also praying for his success and that of other candidates supported by the association.
The State Coordinator assured Atuma, Chinedum Orji and other candidates who recognize and support the activities of the organization of the association’s commitment to mobilizing its members for their campaigns ahead of the 2027 elections.
The meeting was well attended with representatives from the Hon Emeka Atuma’s campaign council in attendance.
