In a public statement addressed to the National, Regional, and State leadership of the movement, Onyebuchi emphasized his continued dedication to supporting the administration of President Tinubu, noting that he remains fully committed to contributing to the success of the movement through all available means.

He, however, explained that due to his current engagements, which frequently require his presence outside Nigeria, he is unable to maintain the level of grassroots interaction necessary to make a comprehensive and inclusive decision regarding the appointment of a Local Government Coordinator for Isiukwuato LGA.

Consequently, Onyebuchi announced that the responsibility for selecting the Local Government Coordinator would be entrusted to members and local leadership of the City Boy Movement within Isiukwuato.

According to him, this decision was reached after wide consultations and careful reflection, with the aim of promoting inclusiveness, fairness, and internal democracy within the movement.

“Those who are actively engaged at the grassroots level are best positioned to make decisions that reflect the true interest and strength of the movement. This approach will further strengthen unity, ownership, and commitment among members,” he stated.

He expressed confidence in the capacity of Isiukwuato stakeholders, describing them as experienced, well-grounded, and capable of making decisions that will advance the objectives of the movement.

Onyebuchi further clarified that his position does not in any way diminish his loyalty or support for the City Boy Movement, but rather underscores his commitment to ensuring a credible and participatory process.

He appreciated the leadership and members of the movement for their understanding and continued dedication to its goals.

The statement concluded with a renewed call for unity and sustained efforts toward the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027.
