An APC chieftain from Ohafia Local Government in Abia State, Hon. Chidiebere Uwagwu Kalu, has boasted that his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), will win al elective positions in Abia State in 2027 general election.
He made this claim while speaking to journalists in Umuahia on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. He also talked about politics in Arochukwu-Ohafia federal constituency, and the power of a more unified APC in Abia State.

Distinguished Guests, Leaders of our Great Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Esteemed Stakeholders from Ohafia and Arochukwu, Comrades, Ladies and Gentlemen,
I stand before you today with immense pride and gratitude as we reflect on the resounding success of the APC Congress and the visionary leadership that has positioned our party for greatness in Abia State and beyond. The topic before us — the APC Congress leadership under Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu (Big Ben) and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK), its impact on the Ohafia/Arochukwu Federal Constituency, the strength of our tenure, the future stance of the APC, and the critical role of individual involvement from Ohafia — is not just a discussion; it is a clarion call to action for every true patriot in this constituency.
Let us first salute the architect of this new dawn: Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and a son of Abia whose leadership transformed the recent APC state congresses into a historic, rancour-free exercise. Under his guidance, alongside the unstoppable force of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu — the OUK Movement — and the Reality Organisation, the APC has emerged stronger, more united, and undeniably the largest and most formidable party in Abia State today. Big Ben and OUK did not just lead a congress; they built a movement of hope. They brought together leaders from across the 17 local government areas, including our dear Ohafia and Arochukwu, forging one indivisible APC family ready to deliver for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and rescue Abia from underperformance.
In Ohafia/Arochukwu Federal Constituency — the heartbeat of Abia North — this leadership has been particularly transformative. Their combined strength — Ben’s youthful dynamism and OUK’s vast experience as a former Governor and Senator — has repositioned APC as the party of the future, not just in Abia, but across the South East.
Comrades, our future stance is crystal clear and uncompromising: APC will take over Abia in 2027! We are not here to play politics; we are here to rescue our state. Governor Alex Otti’s performance has fallen short of the expectations of our people. While others promise, APC under Ben and OUK delivers results — infrastructure, youth empowerment, women inclusion, and good governance aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu. We stand for progress. We stand for development. We stand for Abia that works for every Ohafia son and daughter, every Arochukwu citizen, and every Abian.
But this future will not build itself. It demands individual involvement from Ohafia and the entire Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency. No one is too small, no one is too busy. Every man and woman, every youth and elder must rise:

In conclusion, it’s a classic and bold relationship between ohafia LGA and Arochukwu LGA that ohafia LGA stays 8years while our sister LGA Arochukwu will do another 8 years. At the present ohafia LGA is doing 4 years it’s normally and friendly agreement that our dear party ApC fill an ohafia candidate in the fourth coming election 2027. Ofcourse in politics your want may not be your need . We pray and ask our Arochukwu brothers, leaders to please let’s work on our existing marriage for a future reference.Also the APC Congress under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has written a new chapter for our party. Their tenure is solid, our future stance is bold, and with your individual involvement from Ohafia and Arochukwu, victory is certain. Let us go forth united, determined, and unstoppable.
