2027 Will Be Smoother — Governor Otti at Aro Day Celebration , As Eminent Personalities Applaud His Achievements In Office
Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, says that 2027 election would be smoother than the previous ones when he sold promises, stating that his administration has things to point to, having presided over the affairs of the State for 30 months with more to deliver.

Governor Otti spoke on Friday, 26th December during the 2025 Aro Day Celebration held at Aro Civic Centre, in Arochukwu Local Government Area.
Governor Otti who arrived at the venue in the company of his deer wife, Her Excellency, Mrs. Priscilla Chidimma Otti, and his Bossom friend, the Emir of Kano, Mohammadu Sanusi II, Ph.D.
Speaking during the occasion Governor Otti said, “Political parties are platforms for elections. At the end of election, political parties take a back seat and governance take a front seat. And, anytime the reverse becomes the case, you will see problems.
“I want to thank everyone who has in one way or the other celebrated what God is doing in this State. We are just instruments being used by God.
“So, just like the Americans will say, you ain’t seen nothing yet. This is just 30 months and we still have a lot to do.
“2027 is still far away, but a lot of people have started killing themselves before the 2027 comes.
“We are not worried about 2027 because we have a mandate to deliver to our people in four years. We’ve done 30 months. So, we still have a long way to go,” Dr. Otti stated
Speaking further, the Governor added, “And, just like it happened in 2023, 2027 will even be smoother, I can assure you. Why I’m I so confident? I’m confident because in 2023, we were selling promises but now, there are one or two things we can point to.
“But one thing that I can take home is that I have the full support of everybody here,” the Governor stated amidst applause.
The Emir of Kano, His Highness, Mohammadu Sanusi II, Ph.D, and the Co-Chair of the Abia Global Economic Advisory council, who is currently in Abia State enjoying the Christmas Holiday, repeated his earlier statement at the Atani Day Celebration on Christmas Day where he hailed the achievements of Governor Otti.
Adding to his earlier Statement “I will always take the Opportunity to congratulate the people of Abia State, for having the wisdom to vote for a man whom I’m sure you all know has already shown in two years what he can deliver as your Governor.
“And, I did not say this because he’s my friend. Usually, I only keep friends who perform. I try to associate with friends that I’m proud to be associated with. I will ill like you to know that it is not just Abians who are proud of him. All of us are proud of him and he represents the kind of governance we are looking for at the subnational level.
A former Treasurer and Vice President of the World Bank, and former Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission in Nigeria, Prof. Arunma Oteh, the Co-Chair of the Abia Global Economic Advisory council, described Governor Otti as one in a million, doing in 2 years what others failed to do in 24 years.
The Eze Aro, His Eminence, Eze Dr. Eberechukwu Oji, commended Governor Otti for his exceptional leadership which has restored hope and the dignity of Abians.
Sen. Mao Ohuabunwa, a chieftain of the PDP from Arochukwu and the current chancellor of University of Port Harcourt, who represented Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency and Abia North Senatorial District at some point, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, OFR, Founder and CEO of NEIMET Pharmaceutical, Mazi Dozie Udensi, President General of Nzuko Aro Worldwide, Mazi Victor Ike Okoronkwo – Chairman of the occasion and other prominent personalities from Arochukwu expressed their gratitude to Governor Otti for breaking the jinx and erasing the age-long saying that there is no easy route to Arochukwu, as the Government of Governor Otti has given them different access into Arochukwu among other benefits from the government.
They described the Governor as an excellent performer, and answered prayer and dreams come through for the people of Aro and Abia State in General.
The event featured the unveiling of plaque celebrating the heroes past of Aro Kingdom, some of whom laid the foundation of what is being celebrated.
