Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Hon. Donatus Nwankpa has expressed grief over the death of one of the leaders of APC, Engr. Uzoma Uwa.

Nwankpa who disclosed this during a condolence visit to Adiaso’s family and APC members at Ward 9 and LGA level in Obichukwu, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, on Saturday, 20th June, 2020, described the death as a great loss to the party,

Late Engr. Uwa before his death on Wednesday 17th June 2020, was one of the founding fathers of APC, a one time elected local government Chairman of Isiala Ngwa South LGA and a godfather to Engr. Chamberlain Adiaso.

In his condolence message, Nwanpka encouraged party members to use this time to unit themselves, uphold the morals and legacies late Uwa left behind.

In his words “The news came to us as a shock, it is a death to many. He was bubbling with life. Where ever he is, he makes impact. He is steadfast in anything he believes in, both political and otherwise. I have come so as to console the ward, the local government, myself as well my leader”.

Continuing, “Engr Uwa did not die, he passed on because the reward for service is a call for greater service by Almighty God. We implore the Ward, LG and state members to leverage on those ideas he stood for which is “commitment loyalty and consistency”.

While expressing how pained he is over the demise of Uwa, Engr. Chamberlain Adiaso, said the late Engr. Uwa was his godfather who mentored him through out his studies in Secondary School as well as encouraged him to study Engineering.

He added that the loss is irreparable, assuring the party of his support despite his absence. He pledged to put in practice all he learnt from his mentor Engr. Uwa in his approach to issues of life, submitting that he will be missed greatly.

Responding, the local government Chairman, Ezinwa Nwuzo appreciated the APC leaders for their visits and pledged for more support.

During the condolence visit, Ward 9 and LG members of APC were also advised to work as a family and avail themselves opportunity of making peace with God as no one knows tomorrow.
